Each session lasts for 60 to 90 minutes and the treatments are gentle and respectful. You lie down (fully clothed) on a therapy couch (although you can also sit if that is more comfortable) and the therapist gently tests your muscle (usually in the arm) to obtain yes/no answers. These answers establish the stressors. Meridian points are generally held over the clothes while the stressors are highlighted to enable the body to regain balance and move back to a healthier state.
Highlighting the stressor generally involves:
• Using specific substances that you are allergic or intolerant to;
• Thinking a specific thought or memory;
• Self-touch or body positions;
• Having a magnet(s) placed on you;
• The use of crystals, aromatherapy oils, homeopathic remedies, etc.
At the end of the session you may be advised on nutritional or lifestyle changes. These help to maintain the positive changes that have taken place during your session.
All that happens within the session is treated within the strictest of confidence and without judgement. It is also possible to balance emotional issues while they remain undisclosed by the client. No needles are involved and people generally find this a very intriguing and calming experience. No two sessions are ever alike, even for people with apparently identical symptoms.
